How To Prepare Stir-fry Beef Spaghetti

Sometimes, nothing hits the spot better than pasta, especially spaghetti. It is so easy to make and unless you’re a horrible cook that burns even water, you can never go wrong with any spaghetti recipe.

This stir-fry spaghetti recipe combines juicy beef with vegetables. You don’t need to be an expert cook to pull this off.

We live busy lives and sometimes we don’t want to compromise the healthy meals we eat. The easy solution is, of course, to lean on a quick, easy to cook, and snappy meal.

Spaghetti fits this bill to the T. But sometimes we get tired of eating the boring old Jollof spaghetti or spaghetti and stew.

Your quick meal does not have to be bland as spaghetti beef stir-fry comes to the rescue by spicing up your tastebuds. The best part, you can make this in 30 minutes or less.

Stir-frying meals is not a new concept. It is a healthy way of cooking vegetables and preserving their crispiness. There is a very strict cooking time to help you achieve this.

Stir-fry method is not limited to only vegetables, as most grains can be stir-fried. Another rule for making spaghetti stir-fry is to make sure your soaghetti cooks al dente while parboiling, so it doesn’t come out soggy.

Benefits Of Using The Stir-fry Technique

  • It preserves food nutrients and prevents overcooking.
  • It adds to the beauty of the food making it to glister and less soggy.
  • It saves food materials like oil and other ingredients needed.
  • It makes your food tastier.

  • Beef/chicken (200g cut into strips)

  • Red bell pepper (1 sliced in strips)
  • Spring onions (2-3 stalks chopped)
  • Onion (1 chopped)
  • Ginger (1 tbsp minced)
  • Garlic (3 cloves minced)
  • Chicken stock (1/4 cup)
  • Seasoning cube (1)
  • Salt (1 tsp)
  • Curry powder (1 tsp)
  • Thyme (1 tsp)
  • Hot sauce (2 tsp heaped)
  • Vegetable oil (3 tbsp)
  • Tablespoon cornflour

Step 1

Marinate the chicken or beef with the garlic powder, chicken stock cube and cornflour. Mix thoroughly and leave to marinate for at least an hour.

Place a pot of water add one tsp of salt and a few drops of vegetable oil and allow to boil while you are busy waiting for the beef to marinate.

Add your spaghetti to start cooking.

It should take 6-10 minutes for your spaghetti to cook. Drain the spaghetti and set aside.

Step 2

Pour the vegetable oil into a wok or non-stick pan, place on medium heat. When it heats up, add the marinated chicken/beef and fry till brown on all sides. Then, transfer into a bowl, set aside.

Step 3

Then place the pan back on the heat. Leave the juice in the pan, do not discard. Now, throw in the chopped onions, sauté till fragrant. Then pour in the minced garlic and ginger, sauté for about 2 minutes or till fragrant.

Next, increase the heat and add the green and red peppers and stir fry for 2 minutes.

Then add the spring onions and combine, saute for a minute. Now, transfer the cooked beef or chicken back into the pan and combine.

Add the hot sauce, mix thoroughly and allow to cook for a minute.

Step 4

Now add the previously set aside spaghetti back to the pan and combine thoroughly, also add the chicken stock.

Combine everything and allow stir fry for another 2 minutes.
