  1. Self Love –  This is one way to feel good. Self-love in this festive period of love begins with you. You have to show yourself some love. You can start by staying hydrated, eat properly, sleep efficiently, exercise more and stay connected with your loved ones. Be a part of activities that keeps you happy and feeling loved as you stay connected with your friends and community.
  2. Don’t Diet –  You might be shocked at this but it is true. Don’t diet in any way this season. This festive period is about sharing, there will be lots to eat this season so don’t punish yourself. Relax! Go all out. One week of enjoyment will not kill you. There will be lots of foods, drinks like alcohol and lots of options. So don’t limit yourself visiting most of your friends because you are afraid of the calorie content they might give you. You can always make up for it in this new year and I will help you achieve just that. Am with Personal Trainer James on this one and this is one idea I appreciate in BeYAH Fitness.
  3. Practice Mindfulness – Here is one way to relax and calm your nerves. You can practice mindful to relax this festive period. Practising mindfulness is living in the present moment this helps you to pay close e attention to the sensations in your body, your feeling and as well as your thoughts. Mindfulness is very unique and it helps identify when we are stressed out and how to de-stress to be able to handle our future with ease. Some wonderful ways to practice mindfulness include listening to music, breathing activities, guided meditation,  walking, running, yoga, and more.
  4. Spend Time on Yourself – This is important, spending time on yourself doesn’t mean you have to do this with family and friends always. Take some alone time to listen to your emotions and bond with yourself to know your limits. You can also go for a walk, listen to songs or find somewhere quiet to chill and calm your soul.

Conclusion

I’d like to conclude with the Fifth one which is, Be grateful, Intentional & Decorate your home with things you love.  Gratitude has been known scientifically to make us relax, feel and sleep better. Be intentional in this period, it soothes not only our minds but our soul. This season is a season of expressions. Show it in your decorations, what are the things you love? All the adventures of the year are worth it! You can do the magic of showing and sharing this with your friends. I wish you a beautiful festive season!!
